What's-a matter me?
Today…
is Sons & Daughters Day, “a day for parents to show their love and appreciation for their children.” Today. A special day.
is our last day before our big move! When we moved in here, I was newly separated, the kids were 18 months and 3 years old. I compromised on a basement-level with no natural light because the space itself is good, the location was great, and I sorta looked at it as a place to regroup. That was 10 years ago. But it’s not leaving the apartment that has me in my feelings – it’s leaving Adams Morgan. I know it, I love it, I’m completely enamored with having so much within just a block or two, and I am very sad that I won’t live in this neighborhood anymore. “Rachel. You are literally moving two miles.” Oh yeah? Shut uppa you face.
L: Look at this place, Shirl. It looks just like it did when we first moved in here… a big, empty cellar.
S: But we made it into a show palace.
Don’t forget, no newsletter tomorrow or Friday.
