The idles of March
Today… can’t chat, must parent. The 12yo woke me not long after midnight with an upset stomach, and I’m not sure* I ever got back to sleep. Now both of them are very late getting out of bed, and I have a big bowl of oatmeal for brains. Wish me luck.
But real quick, it is Black Press Day, marking the 1827 publication of Freedom’s Journal, the first Black-owned and -operated newspaper in the U.S.
Mark the day by pressing some dollars into the hands of a Black reporter or outlet.
*I’m sure. I 100% did not. *yawn*
