See you next Tuesday
Today…
is the day I’m reminded, yet again, that Toni Morrison (1931-2019) and Audre Lorde (1934-1992) share a birthday.
is National Drink Wine Day. Now this, I never forget.
With the new gig, I have, um… what’s the word… paid time off? So don’t look for a newsletter on Monday. Also the kids are off all next week. A few years back, in response to parental howls of pain over the seemingly dozens of no-school days scattered across the calendar, DCPS decided to group some of them. So now they have two week-long breaks, one in February and one sometime around Easter. And still the records days, professional development days, etc, etc.
But. We do have Drink Wine Day.
