It's an okay pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Today…
is Hilary Clinton’s birthday. She’s 74 today, which I get, but also… how?
is National Pumpkin Day, which actually bums me a little because it reminds me of all the fall festivals we’ve missed this year, between pandemic and broken leg. In past years, we’d have a collection of small pumpkins by now bordering on absurd. Muffins, waffles, pasta, granola, quarts upon quarts of puree in the freezer. I created a Pinterest board to keep track of pumpkin recipes. (I’m well aware that I’m a walking stereotype, don’t worry.)
This year? Almost nothin’. I have one good-sized pumpkin that will be filled with cheese, bread and (Beyond) sausage and baked sometime this week, and that is it.
