It gets meaner and meaner each time
Today…
in 1889, Wyoming became the first government in the world to grant full voting rights to women.
is the birthday of Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)
I’m a little irritated with Thursday Rachel for inviting Friday chaos.
Me: Huh, Friday’s shaping up to be a relatively light day, I can really get some shit done.
Supreme Court: Hahahaha! Back again!*
Listen, I don’t know, none of us know, but CW is that they’ll nix SB8 in some fashion (ahead of the looming Dobbs disaster, so). Besides the actual news and implications of it all, I am bracing myself for snide AF comments from Thomas et.al. emphasizing how much they love the ban and would absolutely uphold it but for that rascally enforcement mechanism. They’ll return SB8 to Texas with tracked changes.
*I don’t create TikToks, but I would happily send this guy dollars to make a Supreme Court version for me. For us.
