In the middle of the ocean
Today… I was finished and had this scheduled to go at 8:30 this morning, turned my attention elsewhere and came back to find it unpublished because network error. Grrrrr.
Nonetheless, I hope you’ll indulge me a short anecdote for the sole reason that it amuses me. Yesterday I referred to thoughts tumbling around in my brain like two cold nickels. Corey was my bestie for years, so of course, I lived to torment him. Some random evening, a long, long time ago, he asked, if he was a stripper, would I tip him. I said, “I’d drop two cold nickels in there.” “Two cold nickels” immediately became my “you ain’t shit.” “Rach. How you like the new shirt?” “Two. cold. nickels.” Still makes me laugh.
We’re 25 or 26 here, visiting a friend in Key West. Amazing vacation.
