Quick story: the 11yo recently told me that, because gender identity and sexual orientation is such a frequent topic of conversation among her friends, she sometimes misreads prefixes like homo-, pan-, trans- on words totally unrelated to anything LGBTQ+. Transportation does not specifically refer to trans people moving from one spot to another. Homophone is not a gay wireless service provider (though if it was…).
