is National Sticker Day. Oh, how I would beg my mother to go to Trends at the mall for stickers, oily stickers, scratch n’ sniff* or anything Hello Kitty.
*Yes, some of you know. I was born without a sense of smell, but (as I’ve since learned is fairly common) I didn’t realize until 5th grade or so. I thought I was just doing something wrong. So like everyone else in the ‘80s, I bought the scratch n’ sniffs pictured below, except I scratched the hell out of mine, trying to get a whiff of that buttered popcorn and just not.
